Great Nana

My Great Nana
what she looks like:
My great nana has wavy short black and grey hair.  Shes got hazelnut eyes.  My great nana is 88 and she is turning 89 this year.  Great nana wears white and grey clothes.  Usually long pants a t-shirt,jersey,and slippers.  She has wrinkles and freckles on her face and she has false teeth.  Great nana has wrinkly ears.  And you have to talk loud! or she won't hear you.  She is medium height.  She is a very exciting and nice great nana.  When we go to Auckland you always have something to look forward to.  If it is dinner or something else. Although she is very old and slow she’s still perfect to me.

behaviour:
Great nana rewards us for good behaviour with treats.  Nana encourages us to try harder and go over our limits. My great nana is always trying to keep everything tidy before we get there.  or if it’s someone else.

How She Affects Other People:
Some people say that my nana can really grumpy when she’s in bad moods.  My great nana can talk very loud but I Know she doesn't mean it.

Her Interests.
My great nanas in Interest is her old fluffy rocking chair that she had when she was eight.
When she sits on that chair she listings to old music,or watches television. and it reminds her of her parents.  Her other interests are her old cat Cloe who is over 12 years old.  Cloe is scared of children because when she was a kitten a little boy picked her up by the tail and spun her around and then dropped her on the ground.  Last time we went up to Auckland was the first time I got to pat Cloe.

the catch

                 The Catch.
I was a boy that needed some fish for the village.  While I  was sitting there I had a sad and boring expression on my face.  Then I saw that my line was  being tugged by something so I pulled the line in and I was surprised and disappointed at the same time because I had caught a fish but it was too small.  That would not  feed the whole village.  It would not even feed me!

Then I heard  a yelp. I was feeling worried, scared, and strangely,  brave.   I went through some bushes  and I saw a fox.  The fox was  bright golden orange.  It’s eyes were brown.  It was stuck on a rope so I pulled my knife out  of  my pocket.  The fox turned it’s head  round and I think, I really think, that  it thought I was going to kill it  but I cut the rope and it jumped on me and pushed me over.  Then it was  like it froze.  It was sniffing.  It could smell the fish.  The dead fish in my basket.  It ran off so I chased after it.  I had to climb under stuff, over stuff, through stuff and  around stuff  but I made it.

Then I stomped on the ground and the fox turned around and through the fish somewhere. I was puzzled   so I looked where the  fox through it and wow! I was amazed!   This huge fish flies over my head.  The fox gives me a stick.   I tie my rope to the stick  with a hock  on the rope and I catch the huge fish and a little fish too.  The fox and I  walked back to the village. I gave the little fish to the fox and walked away. The fox turned into dust  because it got what it wanted.  That day the fox taught me    how to feed the village.

onepoto caving

            Onepoto  caving:
the part that i liked most was Onepoto caves,

The track starts with a ten minute walk through rocky outcrops and over-hangs. It then follows a ridge, branching off different points.

What we did was caving at the Onepoto Caves. I went on the 27th to the 31st of May. The whole of room 17 went too.  The reason why is because it was a class camp/trip. How we got there is  five of  the the parents brought their vans for us  to go in.

Next time I would like to experience more about caves,glow-worms,and cave weta.

I chose this because it is a new experience for me and it was very exciting  to learn about caving.
