Reflection for the Production Journey Through The Legends

Something I was pleased with was my stage fright because I always get stage fright and this time I didn't.

I really enjoyed learning my line because it was a challenge for me because normally I don't remember anything.

Something I found hard was doing our dance for the dolphins to enter on stage because of the box step, none of us could do it in time and there is six of us.

Something that made me think was would I be able to say my line loud and clearly.

Something I want to get better at is speaking louder because I don't think the people at the back of the hall herd me.

My favorite part of the production was the smoke machine and the end of our production.

My best bit of feedback for the production was from my grandad. He said to me "great work and you were very loud and that is the best performance that you have ever done.

Joe and Eddie were sitting by a fire on a cold wet day. They tried to count all the soot that would come from the fire. When the power went out,they both jumped out of their seats as thunder and lightning began. Goosebumps ran down Joe’s back. Then they sat back down, BOOM another bit of lightning struck! AH Eddie screamed in fear, he had a big fear of lightning he didn't mind the thunder

Are you ok? Joe and Joe’s dad both asked at the same time. Yes I’m fine thanks, just got a little fright. Lets go have a look in the hallway maybe we can find something to use as a light Joe said to Eddie and his dad. Brrr, as they walked out of the warm room they all felt a chill down their spine, what is that shape in front of us? Joe said and it's even moving.

As Eddie lead the way the night started to fall so it got darker and darker eventually it was so dark that they couldn't see what they were doing or where they were walking. But lucky for the boys Joe’s dad took a tour of the house and remembered the way that they were going and he could see a little bit of light coming from the large window and he new that they were getting close to the front door.   

As they got even closer Joe could see the moving shape again but he didn't say anything. So they kept walking and then suddenly Eddie screamed, are you OK Eddie? Joe’s dad said and Eddie was on the floor. Yes I’m ok just my head kind of hurts, do you think you will be OK Eddie? asked Joe yea I think so. They had a look on what Eddie tripped on and it was…

The old flea bag scratching himself in the middle of the hall, what a silly dog. So they carried on looking around for some light. {“KNOCK”KNOCK”} they all heard a knock on the front door, they all stepped back at the same time a waited to see if they could hear the knocking again. {“KNOCK”KNOCK”}

"Who is it?" Joe’s dad said shivering in fair. “I have something for you” someone said beyond the crack through the front door.

25/8/14 to 4/9/14

Dear Diary, let me introduce myself. My name is Crystal and my role in the production is dolphin 2 and my line is “The tribes up Mahia Way plead with us to guide them safely back to shore after a days fishing, when the swishing and swirling causes the sea to stir.” So far I have enjoyed practicing for the production because all the 5 other dolphins are very nice.Mary plays as Takitaki one of the main whales she is like our leader.Also it didn't take us long to learn our lines. But the thing I don't like is sometimes we muck around and we don't get things finished in time. But I am very happy with being dolphin 2.

Knowledge Goal Reflection.

Knowledge Goal and Reflection 50/50 100% for stage 5 number knowledge.

I did well in Multiplication facts, Number bonds and groupings.

My number knowledge goal is rounding.

Something I am proud of is my division facts because I’m not that good at them.

That Yuck Smell

  !That Yuck  Smell!

Introduction:

On Tuesday 2014 me and my friend Kayla Anderson where at my house and we could smell something coming from the lounge It smelt like dog poo from my dogs Scruffy or Sasha.

Event:

As me and Kayla walk into the lounge we smelt a yuck smell. “What is that smell” Kayla said. “ I think it is dog poop?” yuck, groce we kept moaning and groaning for a while.“lets look for the smell before we do anything else” I said.

Event:

“Where is that smell” Kayla yelled to me “I am getting very angry because we can not find the smell” I told Kayla. “Why can’t we find it” Kayla said. “Grrrrrrr, NANNY” I yelled out “There is a poop smell out here and we can’t find it”

Event:

“That’s it, come on Kayla” I said, and we covered our noses and ran out of the lounge in a hurry. We both ran to my room and made a plan on where the smell could be. Could it be the cupboard or behind the T.V  or even in the couch?

Event:

“Well, bye Kayla” I said as she was walking out the gate to go home. See you later on in the week or even tomorrow? “ha ha very funny” Kayla said.

“Bye Ann” my nan yelled out “see ya Kayla” I yelled out as they were getting in the car.

Summary:

In the end I found out that is was cat poop and it was behind the couch and my cat Skye got a little fright and then she must of done it. And the reason she gets scared is because my old cat Gypsy got put down a while ago and now she haunts Skye sometimes to make her scared.

On Saturday I went to my best friend Kayla's house to go to St Beads with her. Kayla's mum took us there and the place is in Napier. You go there to make 1 piece of jewelry and you need to pay $10 to get in. After that we all went to McDonald for lunch. Then we went home and played for a little bit.

Then I rang home so we could pick my nanny up and go out to Kayla's pony Carlos, because my nanny wanted to meet the cute little pony Carlos. So we went around to my house and we picked up my nanny and my little sister to come out to Carlos.

When it was my turn I started walking, and then on my second ride I started to walk and then I trotted, and on my third go I walked,trotted,and then I was going to walk back to Ann but Carlos all of a sudden...CANTERED OUT OF NO WHERE. Holt Holt Holt I yelled out. “Wow was that scary?” asked my little sister. Yes it was but let me get my breath back. “Honey are you OK?” asked my nanny. YES YES YES I’m OK.

Something I was pleased with was going on the waka because it was my first time and it was with my class so that made it more fun.

I really enjoyed learning about space because I wanted to learn about space last year.

Something I found hard was poetry because it is hard to find rhymes.

Something that made me think was doing maths because I need to get better at my maths this year.

Something I want to get better at is talking in a group because people say I don’t talk in a group.

(What can I do about it?)

I think that I need to step up and start talking.

BANG as the gun goes off, me and my dog Scruffy start doing the course come on boy walk up the A frame. Good boy now go under and then up OK boy,roof. Yay you did it good boy carry on. OK now the three jumps ready go go go,OK up,up oh its the last jump ready UP. What a good boy you did it and you made the crowd go wild. OK now all we need to do is sit down and wait for the second round and for that very lovely lady to yell out our names.

Wow there is a lot of people and dogs isn't there Scruffy. “Crystal and Scruffy can I get Crystal and Scruffy in the arena please?” COMING! OK come on Scruff its the last round we can do it. Ready the first thing is to run through some clear water then jump over a jump then we half to do a weaving pole routine then the last jump and were finished OK scruff? BANG the gun goes off and were off in a flash go go go OK through the water out of the water ready jump UP OK now the weaving poles weave weave weave weave weave weave good boy now the very last jump and jump UP.

Good boy you did it good work. “And a very clear round for Crystal and her dog Scruffy”. OK lets have a rest and groom your fur and then go to the place where and if we get a prize. “OK everyone to the prize giving place please”came out of the big speakers. OK come on scruffy come on and be a good boy OK. “And in 2nd place Is Crystal and her dog Scruffy. Yes we came 2nd and out of 31 people. They bring out this shiny blue ribbon. Thank You thank you so much for the ribbon. And they all so gave me a bag of dog food.

“OK lets go home” said my nanny. Wait I soar Kayla over there can I go say hi “OK sure” thanks. After an hour my nanny and I went home.

The Story Of My Life

The Story Of My Life.

My life.  I live with my nana and grandad in Hastings.  Every day I go to Parkvale school.  I have two dogs called Scruffy & Sasha,and two cats named Skye and Gipsy.  I live with my nana and grandad because my mum works morning till night with her partner Dave.  She works at a grape winery,cuts branches and ties other branches up.  My nana and grandad work at the Ihc and looks after people with disabilities,and they each  have nights off to come home and look after me.  My sister is six years old and goes to Twyford school in Fern hill and lives with Simon.  My best friend is Kayla Anderson.  In the weekend Kayla and I always hang out at my place.  I have a large pool outside that we swim in when it’s summer/ on hot days.  My room is about  medium size.  I have a lot of soft toys.  Nana said ‘why don’t we sell some or give them to the hospital’. Outside my room we have a back yard that has concrete and grass and all so the garage is by the back yard,and the puppies sleep in the garage and get the back yard.  Out the front I  have my own netball hoop,a mountain bike,scooter, and a lot of other things but it will take too long to tell you about.  So that is my life I hope you enjoyed my story.=)

Cross Country.

      Cross Country.

As I can feel the hot sun burning on the back of my black t-shirt.I start to shake as Miss Hill yells out my name.So I slowly walk up to the starting line.On your mark,get set,GO. They all started to run really fast but me I just went nice and easy.The reason I went nice and easy is because they will all think that I will lose.But If I go faster when I get closer to the finish then I might have a chance of winning.winning. Ok so that’s one lap out of three.Now it’s time to go a little bit faster. So I did. I started to do a kind of slow sprint.Someone passed me but that's ok because I will end up going past them probably.probably. Ok now it’s the last lap , now I am scared.  So I’m onto the rugby field and I’m feeling confident I think I can do it. There is 4 people in front of me but I don’t know how many people are behind me,because I don’t want to look back. I’m nearly at the finish line.Oh no one person just passed me now there's 5 in front of me.Wait wait wait YES I MADE IT . Mrs Miller wrote 6 on my hand. I think I did pretty good in order to come 6th. “you can go see your parents if you want to?” Mrs Miller said to me,Ok thanks. “GUYS” did you see me did you see me “ yes yes we did we did and you did great” my nana,grandad and mum said to me. sadly I can't enter  inter schools because the place that you come has to be 5 or under. But i’m proud how well I did.

When I went home the next morning I was so so so SORE.

Flax Rock/Rock Climbing.

On Friday room 6 all went to flax rock to do some rock climbing. My most challenging thing was probably going there because from the start I didn't really  want to go there I was a little bit scared.  And I have a second challenging thing, how high the walls where ,Because they were So So tall.  

I am most proud of how I kept getting higher and higher each time I went up. And I am proud of that when I felt sick I carried on rock climbing.

My favorite thing is that we all had great fun, well I think. And the easiest wall that I did was Glens one which is Kayla's dads one.

In the end I had great fun and thank you to all the parents that took us there.

Suddenly Kory yells out “C for cat” oh ho I am soooo nervous that is the first letter of my name. As I start to run,I realise that I am half way there but I spoke too soon,WACK oh no,well thats me out. Better luck next time. As I stood there I got an idea. What if I creep around the taggers but if they see me I could start Sprinting to the end. After Kory said like 6 letters he yelled out “everybody go”. I Sticked with my plan and I started to creep around the taggers. Kayla must of got the same idea because she began  to do the same thing as me. I think someone soar me so you know what I did, I started to sprint go go go I keep repeating in my head. There is a tagger at the end,oh oh  I say in my head. So I start to run even faster. Woooo one of the taggers try to whack me on the leg but I leaped in the air as high as I could.

How To Play Noodle Tag:

First you pick your taggers. Then you give the taggers a noddle each.

Now what I mean by noddle is a pool noodle the ones that you float on.

Then the taggers find a space that they're comfortable in.

They yell out a letter like C for cat then if you have C in your first or last

name then you half to run. If you make it then yay.

And if you get tagged you half to stand on the spot

And wait for someone thats running to come and

tag you so you can carry on running.

T-Ball

T-ball

Next batter Mrs Roil yells out oh no it’s my turn and I’m so good at t-ball (not). So I walk up and grab the bat and then I walk up to the ball  BATTER UP I’m shaking like crazy. I knew I would get out on first base like I always do But then . . . WACK I hit the ball as fast and as hard as I can then I start to run. As the ball is flying through the air Mrs Roil yells out GREAT BATTING CRYSTAL . Then befor I know it i’m on the third base. As soon as I get my breath back BATTER UP.

Oh no I better get ready to run again. WACK before I could even finish my sentence I had to start running again running running running bang as I finally touch the poal. yay I made it. Well I guess I got lucky. Then we were told to go and get our lunch. As I was walking across the field I could feel the fresh grass on my toes and I could also smell the grass as well. When I sat down to eat my lunch I ripped the glad wrap up in 10 little pieces and then crunch mmmmmmm that is a good wrap.
